Summary

Schools find and exchanges images based on specific themes. Partner schools have to create a newspaper page in their own langauge using reporting on all the images. Students use the chat forum to get clues about the images and create a one page newsletter.

Finding the stories

Students to visit on-line newspapers in their own country and find 4 images linked with stories on the following topics: (i) science (ii) citizenship (iii) politics (iv) sport. Use some of the websites to find your stories.

Exchanging images

Students will add the 4 images into a table with some clues to the help the partner school to find the story behnind the images.

The story behind the picture

In this stage, students have to find out more about the stories behind the four pictures. This could be done through the chat room or discussion forum.

The newsletter

In this final stage, students in the partner school will use the images and information obtained from the discussion forum to create a newsltetr with four sections each which will report on the story linked with the four images (in their own language).
