Project Description
On this page we're going to present our beautiful city to you. First of all you have to know that there are many villages that also belong to Weil der Stadt. For example Merklingen, Münklingen or Schafhausen. Weil der Stadt is also known as "Kepler-City". That's why our gymnasium is named "Johannes-Kepler-Gymnasium". Read the "Kepler" project and find out why our town got its nick-name! Carnival is very special here. People come from all over the area just to celebrate in our city because of its long-standing traditions. You can find out more about it when you read through that section of our project. Since English is the world's leading language, children start to learn it very early. One of our groups has put together a presentation of English in our schools. They've gone to the kindergartens and elementary schools to give you an idea of how English is taught in our schools. What are Germans really like? Do we still wear traditional clothes?
