Summary

"Let's go on a Journey!" is about planning a journey. We share information on where we would start, where we would like to go and how we plan to get there. Once arrived at our destination we write a post card capturing our experiences of the journey and our impressions of our destination. This is a cross curriculum project for all age groups combining language, arts, geography, maths, cultural understanding, social - and environmental awareness with planning and recording skills.

PROJECT SET UP

4 PROJECT PHASES

Our point of departure. Please describe where you would start your journey: the country and town you live in, the specific customs, habits and traditions, and any other useful, vibrant and funny information you would like to share.
Our destination. Here you can tell us about the destination where you would like to go, why you would like to go there, what would you like to see there, who would you like to meet there.
We pack our bags and travel! This phase is about packing and travelling. Please tell us how you will be travelling? By plane, boat, train, car, bike, other? How far will you be travelling to your destination, how long does it take for you to get there? Will you bring with a suitcase? What will you pack in your suitcase?
“Dear...”. Once arrived at destination it is now time to write a post card. To whom will you be sending your postcard? What will you write on your postcard? What is on the front of your postcard?
