Our flags

My reasons I put the Red Cross in the middle where it is on the England flag. I put the stars on the flag because all of my relatives live in America and I go to visit them when I go on holiday. I used the blue as a background because it is in the England flag as a background and the American flag as a background. From Sarah 12

We were inspired to Learn the Significance of Colors in different Flags and we spread the message - 'Unity is the Key Master of Success'.

I chose Russia as it is rich in traditions, our leader Mrs. Sonia Gandhi is native of Italy and I combined the characteristics of each flag to make a unique flag. Suman 8 JNV Bhiwani

I like the ancient culture of Greece and my penpals live in France. I like the similar colours these flags do have and a decent multicoloured flag can be made using these stripes.- Gopal Taneja 10 JNV Bhiwani India

I chose Australia as my aunt lives there and my cousin lives in America. White colour represents purity and red is symbolic of valour. Australia and America flags have stars on them that ensure individuality and representation of all states. White has been used in all three flags. It stands for piousness. I was inspired by 2010 Football World Cup Project and observed all flags of participating nations and combined all the colours used in those flags. I saw cross in nearly seven flags so I used cross symbol and made this flag. Prafful VI JNV Bhiwani

Students are to make albums in which they shall paste and colour flags of their neighbouring countries and whom they they play cricket with (UK, Australia etc). An assignment shall be prepared to match the countries with their flags.

Hand painting - Pupils shall paint flags on each others hands.

We hope they shall develop a sense of identity and become aware of the wider world's nations,their flags and their symbolic significance.
